I stepped into my own silence,
a place where sense fades and reason fails.

There I waited in my darkness,
straining to hear what cannot be heard.

And as I sat alone, waiting for what does not speak,
I listened for a voice to finally call me.

But nothing spoke to me, and my ears became deaf from the noiseless void.
And as the madness and folly of absence began to overwhelm me, I shouted into that place.

“Do you speak!?”

Within the depths of my own silence I came to a profound realization,
the voice I had been waiting for was my own.
